About Claco

Four decades focused on one thing: theatres

We're not a general AV company that also does cinema. Cinema is the whole business.

Since 1980

Claco Equipment & Service, Inc. was founded in 1980 and has spent over 40 years working exclusively on movie theatre equipment. What started as a small operation out of Salt Lake City has grown into a company serving theatres nationwide, the one they call when a projector goes down or a part needs replacing, and we're adding new territory every year.

We've watched the industry move from film to digital and from standard sound to immersive audio, and we've stayed current through every shift, because our customers can't afford for us not to.

Based in Salt Lake City, Ready to Travel

Our shop and technicians are based at 5062 West Amelia Earhart Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah, with mobile service that already reaches far beyond Utah and keeps expanding. Whether it's a scheduled upgrade or a same-day breakdown, we send someone who has actually worked inside a projection booth before. If you're outside that footprint, tell us anyway. We'd rather hear from you than have you assume we can't help.

How We Work

What theatres actually need from a vendor

One Vendor

Projection, audio, and auditorium under one roof

Instead of coordinating between separate projection, sound, and screen vendors, theatres work with one team that knows how all three systems fit together.

Real Technicians

Installers and repair techs, not just salespeople

The people who quote your job are the same people who understand what it takes to install and maintain it.

Always On

24-hour emergency support

A dead bulb or a failed processor during a show doesn't wait for business hours, so neither do we.

Manufacturer-Direct

Working relationships with the industry's top brands

Christie, Barco, NEC, Dolby, QSC, and screen makers like Severtson and Harkness, plus the lighting and automation brands that finish out an auditorium. More than a dozen manufacturers in all, installed and serviced directly.
